The Magellan? 2200VS features a flash memory for easy software upgrades and an auxiliary RS-232 port that provides versatility when adding a handheld scanner, programming and configuring the scanner, or accessing the scanners label data output. The 2200VS scanner can be equipped with Checkpoint EAS and can support Sensormatic EAS systems with good-read acknowledgement via the auxiliary RS-232 port. This is great for applications requiring electronic article surveillance (EAS). The 2200VS has an advanced software decoding algorithms that provides the industry's best scanning speed and can simultaneously improve first pass read rates of damaged, wrinkled, or poorly printed barcodes, which delivers improved operational efficiencies at the retail checkout.
