The PowerScan PBT9500-DPM Evo reader is based on the Bluetooth radio 2.0 for Direct Part Marking (DPM) applications. This reader is a cordless rugged handheld area imager designed and capable of reading codes marked with DPM. The DPM is a process designed to allow users to imprint a bar codes directly on an item instead of printing the code on a paper label. Equipped with Bluetooth connection, it allows for cordless use with distances of up to 100m. The PowerScan? With the PowerScan PBT9530-DPM Evo imager there are different technologies available to directly mark objects, such as laser / chemical etching, dot peening and ink jet printing. All of these methods have specific advantages and disadvantages when it comes to durability, cost and ease of reading. The PBT9530-DPM comes equipped with a standard Bluetooth 2.0 radio that can be configured via software as a Class 1 radio (exceeding 90m / 40m of mobility respectively). Designed with an aiming system that provides the highest first-pass reading rate, the PBT9500-DPM Evo features a soft-pulsed white illumination light that reduces flashes, making it more gentle on the operators eyes.
