As well as 1D and 2D barcodes, the DS8178 also supports digital watermark barcodes, respectively Digimarc barcodes. These types of barcodes are spread all over the product packaging and are invisible to the human eye, this makes scanning quicker and easier, as the product doesn't need to be turned as the DS8178 can read the barcode in any direction.
